We had the privilege to interview one of the most talented young riders out there, Kieran Reilly, a 17 year old who has an exquisite and delicate style of riding. His incredible skills and bike control makes riding BMX looks easy. Kieran has been riding for 9 years and he has already made a name for himself.

In his latest BMX contest Simple Session 2019, he managed to place 6th by scoring 86.00 points in his first Simple Session. By doing so, he managed to put his name among the biggest names in the game. Boyd Hilder won the contest by scoring 90.60 in his last run, Daniel Dhers landed the second place after scoring 90.20, Kenneth Tencio landed the third place after scoring 87.20, Irek Rizaev landed the fourth place after scoring 86.90, and Juestin Dowell landed the fifth place after scoring 86.80. Considering Keiran’s young age compared to the big names mentioned above, Keiran stands a great chance of winning the contest some time in the near future. Keiran is without a doubt a World Class Performer. We will be documenting every single step he takes and provide our outmost support for this incredible young rider.

Interview With KIERAN REILLY

How long have you been riding BMX for?

I’ve been riding bmx now 9 years, counting from when I began riding skateparks. What is your favorite place to ride? There’s so many to choose from and it definitely differs depending on my mood but 9 times out of 10 it’s gotta be adrenaline alley in Corby.

What’s the first trick that you’ve learned?

I think the first trick I learned was to 180 or maybe fakie snap outs. What’s the most difficult trick that you’ve learned? I definitely found decades hard having recently learned them and I’m still working on em but they’re getting easier which I’m stoked about!

Next trick to learn? Working on a lot of things at the minute getting the big tricks down at my local skateparks is pretty hard , really wanna get fakie fronties down! What is the most memorable moment you have so far from riding?

100% the flair whip on the street quarter in Holland, the buzz of landing it and the reaction of all my close friends and the success of the video is insane!!

What’s the next big thing that you will be doing in the near future? Hopefully just competing more and travelling to more competitions around the world.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start biking? Defiantly be motivated and patient because it’s tough but you learn to love everything about it real quick.

What’s your ultimate goal in life? Ultimate goal in life has got to be being able to ride every day whether you class it as a job or not. I’d just love to not have to work and do something I love whilst supporting myself.

Thank you Kieran it’s been a pleasure to learn more about you.

Thank you guys for this!!
